How to Connect .pk Domain with Blogger.com

If you are reading this blog post, you may already know that PKNIC, the .pk domain registrar, does not have a direct option to add a CNAME record through their panel. However, you can still connect your .pk domain to Blogger through a workaround.

This method involves using a third-party DNS hosting service to manage your DNS settings.

Here's a step-by-step guide:

1. Choose a DNS Hosting Service:

Select a DNS hosting service that allows you to manage DNS records, including CNAME records. Popular choices include Cloudflare, Google Cloud DNS, and Amazon Route 53. In this guide, we will use Cloudflare as an example.

2. Sign Up for a Cloudflare Account:

Go to the Cloudflare website (https://www.cloudflare.com/) and sign up for a free account. Follow the setup process, and add your domain to your Cloudflare account.

3. Change Name Servers:

Cloudflare will give you two name servers, such as ns1.cloudflare.com and ns2.cloudflare.com. To use Cloudflare, you need to log in to your domain registrar's panel and update your domain's name servers to the ones given by Cloudflare. The process may differ depending on your domain registrar, so it's best to consult their documentation or contact their support team for assistance.

4. Add Your Domain to Cloudflare:

After changing the nameservers, it may take some time for the changes to propagate. Once they have, go to your Cloudflare dashboard and click on "Add a Site." Follow the prompts to add your domain.

5. DNS Settings in Cloudflare:

In the Cloudflare dashboard, select your domain and navigate to the "DNS" section. Here, you can add the necessary DNS records to connect your .pk domain to Blogger:

   - Add two CNAME records with the following settings:

    1. CNAME

     - Name: www

     - Target: ghs.google.com

     - TTL: Automatic

                2. CNAME

Name: Your Unique Code

Target: Your Unique Code

TTL: Automatic

6. Save Your DNS Settings:

Once you've added the CNAME record, save your DNS settings in Cloudflare.

7. Verify DNS Settings on Blogger:

To connect your .pk domain to your Blogger blog, start by logging in to your dashboard. In the "Settings" section, you will find the "Custom Domain" option. Click on it and enter your domain name (including the www.yourdomain.pk). Remember to save the settings. Blogger will automatically verify the DNS settings, and if everything is correctly configured, your domain will be successfully connected to your blog.

8. Wait for DNS Propagation:

It may take some time for DNS changes to propagate across the internet, so be patient. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours.

9. Test Your Domain:

After DNS propagation is complete, open your web browser and enter your .pk domain to verify if it's correctly connected to your Blogger blog.

  Conclusion:

Congratulations! You have successfully connected your .pk domain to your Blogger blog.
